No, you don't need to have a referral. The payment will be the same. It saves your time and money to get support from our mental health practitioner. 

 Australia does a pretty good job of providing Medicare for those seeking medical help. Unfortunately, Australia only allows psychologists and some social workers to work with Medicare for mental health. That leaves most Counsellors, Psychotherapists and Relationship Therapists out of the medicare game.

That’s OK.  There are actually some benefits to not taking Medicare.

Yuying Therapy is committed to providing effective and affordable treatment for clients. A GP mental health treatment plan allows the client to claim up to 10 sessions each calendar year with Medicare.

This will save the client about $93.35 per session with a general psychologist and about $136.35 per session with a clinical psychologist; while there is still a out-of-pocket of $150-$170 for each session and a cost of $240-$330 per session after the first ten sessions. Compared to the fees at Yuying Therapy, the expenses are higher even with the MHCP rebates.
